夏の残り火

This film is one of the summer camp productions. In contrast to Kinjiki, it portrays a common, simple romance in a fresh and breezy way. The director struggled with editing, being inexperienced with romance films, and the project nearly ended up shelved. It was eventually completed thanks to the skillful editing of a third party who had no involvement in the shooting once again, Hiroaki Mōri.
